LoadCue w/Format in Blind Spreadsheet

In the eos offline editor, when I go to Blind Spreadsheet mode and press F4 (Format), the system locks up.  The Clear (backspace) key will not erase the command line and pressing F2 (Live) causes the command line to display "LoadCue" followed by the cue number on the spreadsheet.  The F3 (Blind) key does not do anything, nor does F4.  I searched the manual for "LoadCue" but found nothing.   I found a couple of instances of "load cue" with a space, but not a command.  The "Q" key also has no effect.  If I exit and restart, it cleans up the problem.

What did I do wrong and how do I undo it without exiting?

  • Exporting and importing the file (to XML) to a blank show fixes the problem.  Whatever is causing it does not get exported and the magic sheet seems complete when it imports.  Thanks!

  • I reset the offline system, created a new blank show and then created a blank magic sheet in the blank show.  Displaying the magic sheet and pressing Format (F4) causes the problem.  When I press Live (F2), it displays LoadCue.  Esc doesn't work to close the window and tab won't move between windows.  Selecting Live or Blind display with the mouse and then closing all windows (shift & tab) causes the problem to go away. Displaying and focusing on the magic sheet causes the problem to return.  What is supposed to happen when you press Format while viewing a magic sheet?

  • what you're seeing seems to be the Ctrl level of shortcuts... Ctrl-F2 is LoadCue, Ctrl-B Beam, Ctrl-G is Go, Ctrl-S is MagicSheet...

i don't think Format is supposed to do anything with magic sheet...

  • What Format (F4) does on a magic sheet is cause the ctrl key to be stuck ON in OLE when viewing the magic sheet. This means any other key does the behavior associated with having ctrl pressed with the key, but only when viewing the magic sheet.

It happens only using offline keyboard equivalents (not with the virtual keyboard).  Pressing F2 bring up what appears to be a vestigial command, "LoadCue" that is associated with ctrl-F2.  It can't be unstuck without exiting OLE.  It means you can't do a clear, because ctrl-bksp is not a clear, although you can erase an error message, since ctrl-bksp seems to work on error messages.
