Element aRFR

We just got an Element at our school and am trying to connect the aRFR app to it.

Iv'e gone through and enabled the RFR in the setup then gone to the settings turned on the wifi remote and gone to the USB RFR setting. However, when I open the RFR there's no little box to check to enable it. How do I get that to appear?

Hi James, Congrats on getting the Awesome Element Console! You have connected the Element to a Wireless Access Point via an Ethernet cable right? If so, what is the IP Address of the Android Device? It Needs to be in the same Subnet as the Element, for example, IP: 10.101.124.101, Subnet: 255.255.0.0, and Gateway: 10.101.1.1

Thanks for your speedy response. The android has IP 192.168.0.2 and the Element has IP 192.169.0.4. They are both on the subnet 255.255.255.0.

Are you sure the ELEMENT IP is 192.169.0.4? (and not 192.168.0.4?=) If so, then these two IPs are not in the same subnet and won't communicate with each other.

Opps - yes that was a typo - they are both .168.
