Element aRFR

The Enable checkbox moved in recent software versions - as it is a network protocol, we moved it to the Network tab. Look under Interface Protocols and make sure "Wi-Fi Remotes" is checked. (We also needed to move it so that you could enable/disable WiFi remotes on a network interface (NIC) by NIC basis).

Okay - thank you, I have now checked that box but still no luck...

what is the make/model of your switch and access point? Could you post a photo of your Element Network Settings - all of them? And of your android network setting and the aRFR settings ?

you have a new element with two network ports at the back, right? port 2 has the IP addresses you mentioned before, but the console claims there's nothing connected there. either exchange the ethernet cable or plug into the other port. don't understand though, why on the first of your three pics, port 1 shows as online but without ip addresses...

Ueli is right - Swap the Ethernet Cable to your other Ethernet port on the back of the Element - then all should work.

Ueli - Cable is connected to port one with a live connection to A network. There is a check in the box for DHCP client but no dhcp server is probably there so it can't get an address.

I had noticed that when I tick "obtain an IP automatically" all the IP info dissapears.

I shall try that when I have access to the console again on Monday.

Its not usually a good idea to have your Light Console pull its address from a DHCP Server, because if the Server for some reason isn't online, then your console like now, won't have an address and can't communicate in tbe network.
