Submasters: Taking Manual Control and Sneaking makes Tracking Values

The purple means they are being tracked and record in a cue somewhere. You need to take them out of the cue if you want exclusive control on the submaster. You can also make the sub "exclusive" so you do not accidentally update or record into a cue.

grrr i need an editor they are being tracked because they where recorded in a cue. that's why they are Magenta (purple)

the reason it turns red is because of LTP protocols. when take it to zero in sub you are in essence taking it to 0 manually from its tracked value in cue.

that's the thing. there are no cue lists. there are no cues. this is why i don't understand the purple. there is a playback loaded to a submaster but its empty. the master GO is also empty. The Cue List Index shows that there are no lists.

just to be sure that we're all on the same page: what's the software version? the latest one is 2.2.1.9.0.something

call up0 a channel and hit about it should tell you were it is getting its information from.

I think that's the software version. I'm actually working in the big theatre (a tour) and this event is happening in the small theatre. i'm just trying to help out the programmer who's never been on an ION before. I did not think of the About screen. I'll suggest it if she has another issue. Thanks!

i just tried it with the beta version of the next major release and i can't reproduce your problem. so if it's really a bug, then it will be gone with version 2.3 ;)

Hi, sorry for the long delay in responding to this but I was changing shows. And cities. And countries. Unfortunately I was not able to get back into the small space to try to recreate the problem but here's what I think happened. I think she recorded a cue and being a hog programmer, did not realize that the ION goes into the cue that you just recorded. (The Hog and MA do not advance the cue list when you record a cue.) So the ION was in a cue state with active submasters. She then deleted the cue lists but never went to Q0 or Qout, a command she did not know. Since the intensity level of the sub matched the intensity level in the cue, I think the ION got confused and would sneak to the now non-existant cue rather than the sub. Hi there. There is a control in Setup called "AutoPlayback on Record". By default this is enabled. If you disable this, recorded cues are not loaded to a playback and you are not placed in the cue when you record it. Thanks much! Anne
