I have a couple of questions about the behaivour where a RemDim is applied to a channel selection, and you then Next through that selection.
The scenario I'm asking about is this:
a) cue is live on stage
b) apply RemDim to a channel selection (e.g 91 Thru 96 RemDim Enter)
c) Next through that selection (each channel in selection is further RemDim'd - e.g. command line looks like Chan 91 Thru 96 : Chan 91 Rem Dim)
d) when Next-ing through the selection, modify attributes of each channel in turn - e.g. pan/tilt
e) press Clear (all intensities snap back to original cue state)
f) Update cue
This is really useful for seeing and updating individual fixtures within a cue, but I have a couple of questions:
1) When clearing the RemDim (step e), is there anyway of returning to the previous levels in a non-zero time? (to save lamps and eyes)
2) When modifying the attributes (step d), it's only possible to maintain the RemDim'd state by using encoders. If you apply a palette to the selected fixture through direct select or command line, the RemDim is immediately lost and all intensities snap back to the cue state. This is very annoying :)
The steps above are very quick - however to avoid losing the RemDim when applying palettes and the snap-back to previous state, I need to use a different approach that involves a lot more typing - so I don't know if I'm missing something or there's a more efficient way of achieving this that avoids these two problems?
