ECT Ion and Capture Argo software

Hello everyone, I own a ION consolle and i'd love to connect Capture Argo software that consolle to be able to simulate my show when im not connected to the DMX cable. Can anyone help me to set it up? Any help will be appreciate.

  • make sure, your ion and the argo computer are in a compatible ip/subnet range. activate sACN output in the ion's shell. in ion patch, make sure, that all the channels you want to visualize have sACN in the interface field.
    in argo you have to assign the sACN input to the visualizers patch. and if your computer has more than one network card, there is a setting somewhere to choose which network card is the one receiving sACN. argo call sACN by it's standard name which is E1.31

    I'm not in front my ION now, but i've tryied to follow your instructions using my Offline editor and the argo demo version. Unfortunately I didn't solve the problem.
    That's what i did on ION

    1) I left activated only the sACN protocol seated as default. All the remaining protocols are deselected
    2) on the patch page the only interface available is the Default, so Im not allowed to set the sACN

    on Cargo:

    1) on connection tab all ip protocols are set as Automatic

    in what mode did you start offline editor (it's actually called Nomad)? you can choose Offline, offline w/viz, mirror mode. you have to choose offline w/viz, because offline will not output anything.
    the thing you did with default should be ok.
    i suggest you download a software called sACNview. it's for free. install it on the Capture PC. it allows you to check if the sACN values from nomad/console arrive on your pc.
