Ion vs Old School Chroma Q Scrollers

Can you describe what is happening, are they working at all? Are they twitching?

Have you tried patching a show file 1 to 1 and they just using the wheel to control the correct channel to see if they move instead of patching them as a scroller?

Ha! Yeah a little more detail from me might help.
Yes, you nailed it with the twitching... Fairly intense twitching at that.
I've had them patched 1 to 1 using the wheel, have had them patched as Generic Scroller and various other "similar" type scrollers by other manufacturers just to see if I could get some other type of reaction, but the jumping/twitching doesn't let up.
But soon as I put them back on the express, they are like little angels.
Any thoughts?

They do respond to the 1 to 1 patch. They will advance as I increase intensity but the jumping increases incrementally also. For instance, when nearing 50% the scrolls are jumping almost all 16 colors.

You probably need to disable RDM.

If the scrollers are plugged into the console ports then you need to exit to the shell via the browser.

Go into the setting menu. The click on Local I/O on the right.

You should have a RDM tick box for each port. Untick them both and then click accept at the bottom.

Then click primary to get back into your showfile.

If turning RDM off doesn't work, try turning down the DMX speed on the outputs.

Will try that and see how it goes.
