Widescreen Touchscreen with Ion XP

Has anyone used a widescreen touchscreen with an XP Ion?


I'm looking at the Elo 1519L:

Zero-bezel AccuTouch, iTouch, iTouch Plus and PCAP

Native Resolution: 1366 x 768 at 60 Hz

The vertical resolution is less than ETC's recommended 1280x1024, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried a monitor like this and experienced any issues such as info getting cut off.

  • It's been a couple years, but I have used the software on an 11" Macbook Air.  It had the same vert. resolution as that touch screen.  Generally, it worked fine.  The CIA made things a bit cramped, so I would recommend using this touch screen as your secondary display, not your primary display.  However, that display only has a VGA input, so I think you're stuck with it as your primary display.

    For *years* I ran the client software on my 13" Macbook Air (900px tall), and that was totally fine.  The software is pretty resilient, but obviously there are no guarantees that it won't break with some future software update.  Your mileage may vary.
