Patching DMX fixtures with the ION

Just got the ION. With other older consoles I have worked with, when patching in a DMX fixture I have had to patch each parameter to a different channel. If the ION considers each fixture to be a channel, does that mean I can patch in a DMX fixture that requires 12 parameter addresses to CHANNEL 1, and all of the addresses that go with the fixture will be associated with that channel?

That is correct. The Ion uses a library of fixture type profiles so it knows how many addresses to assign to each patched channel.

Just make sure you're picking the correct fixture type for the fixture you're using!
