CopyTo Ignore Dark Moves

Is There/Can There be an option to copy a cue and if lights are at zero, their state is not copied over to the new cue but only their zero value?

When you say "lights" are you referring to MLs, Lights with scrollers, lights with NP's, that sort of thing?  If that is what you're referring to, here's a couple of ideas you could try:

From live, bring the cue up on stage, then enter [intents {make manual} enter].  Then [record only cue # enter]

    or

in blind, copy the cue to where you want it.  In your newly created cue enter [All NP's make null].  I've used that syntax before and essentially it makes those NP's track from the last instruction.

Not 100% that this will work, but I'm quietly confident. Hope that helps

    Cheers

  • Yeah but I'm lazy and don't want to do all that, I'd rather just have it be an option that pops up on the softkeys. Plus, you have to be in the cue to do that, and half the time I'm copying cues that I'm not currently sitting in.

  • As a work around can you use SELECT ACTIVE, COPY TO, XX???
  • Yes, if you're in the cue, but even then it doesn't seem to work quite right. I was looking for something you could do without being in the cue. Plus this doesn't work if the cue before the one you are creating has an effect (intensity) running, the effect will track.

Food for thought:  How about [select all intensity recall from cue n enter] ??  If you use it regularly, would a macro work?  Regarding effects, I think you would still have to manually remove them.
