Eos/Ion 1.4.1 now available for download

Please see the download sections of the Eos/Ion product pages for sv 1.4.1.   This software addresses a number of critical defects discovered in the 1.4.0 release.  You'll also find a download of 1.4.1 release notes; this identifies exactly what issues have been addressed.

  • Oh, found the list of notes.  Firefox didn't render the PDF all the way.  Should I upgrade?
  • If your show is already running and you aren't experiencing any problems, then I wouldn't if I were you.
  • Jason's suggestion is a good one.  If your show is in the can, and all is well, you should probably wait until you start a new production to upgrade.   These were the issues addressed in 1.4.1 

    Levels that are inhibited snap when fading to next cue. 

    4210 After pressing the "mode" button on the encoder screen, the Encoders no longer work. 

    4198 Crash if in Flexi time mode and enter setup 

    4193 Marks not displaying properly 

    4186 Follow time countdown not displayed if multiple cues are running 

    4184 Fixture "Iris" Parameter Defaults are incorrect 

    Workaround: Manually set the home value to 0. 

    4181 Martin - Mac 2000 Performance Animation Wheel Problems 

    4174 Random step based effects not working 

    4169 Deleting all Cues in a cue list is not Undo-able 

    4167 SHELL - user can modify settings for the integrated console monitors 

    4166 SHELL - dialog windows should not be moveable 

    4162 Channel Summary display is very sluggish when flexi-channel & expand are on. 

    Workaround: Don't use flexi channel and expand at the same time 

    4153 The CIA is getting stuck in Patch mode or Update if the about window is open 

    4151 Selective storing gobo parameter to a beam palette does not record positive values 

    4149 Re-recording a live Cue causes the Link not to work. 

    4148 In the About display, Patch tab, selecting an Address is re-patching your fixture. 

    Workaround: Do not use About Address in patch mode 

    4119 Client consoles don't track sub movements 

    2960 RED, GREEN, BLUE Parameters should be on SAME ENCODER PAGE for all LED FIXTURES
