Rosco Revo Rotators

I have 5 Rosco Revo Rotators in my show. All of the S4s are the same channel. Yet the designer would like to control each rotator separately. Is it possible to put each rotator as a part in the channel and still be able to control them individually? Rather than assigning each rotator a channel? The console I'm operating on is Eos.

Hey Jen,

I don't think you can. If you patch each rotator to the S4's channel as a part (2-6), they will be grouped together and will not allow seperate contol of the rotators. Instead patch the lamps of the S4s into their own channel and patch the Revos into their own consecutive channels. This way the Revos will show a grouped tile in table view making it easier to find on your channel display.

As long as the parameter name is the same, they will get the same command if they're in the same channel. So either separate them or edit the Rotator personalities so all five are different

That's not what i said. The personality names don't matter at all, it's about the parameter names inside the personalities

Changing the parameter names inside the personalities can make a mess of things.

I'm really excited to have these replies. I won't be able to test this until Tuesday. I did turn on the console today to poke around. What I'm understanding is.... in patch; copy Revo Rotator M4; the console generates Revo Rotator M4 (Copy 1); assign that to a rotator. Rinse and repeat that each has a different name. Looking forward to testing this and giving an update. Thanks!!

That's not gonna do what you want. You would still have only one parameter name across all the parts
