Eos Client control

Hi all, i am Using an ETCnomad on my macbook (with the USB key installed), I am running the Client over WIFI to an ETC Ion in primary | Master. my mac is unable to find any masters and i am unsure why this is happening.

i have looked at most of the settings on both consoles, the Ion is currently connected to a router running a static IP so that another computer on the same network can use WYSIWYG. this is already working fine and i am sure that this setup should be allowed to use wifi to connect the network together.

the network is a closed network (meaning that the WIFI and router is not connected to the internet)

so my question is, should i be able to connect my mac over WIFI as a client. and if so, what settings am i suppost to have enabled o both consoles to allow this to work

thanks for any input

  • You MAY be able to connect over WIFI but it is not recommended nor is it necessarily going to work with whatever hardware you have. Nomad is not designed to connect over wireless. Wireless does not prioritize packets for consistent connection properly and often does not have the bandwidth to support a live console connection. If you have a properly robust wireless device with the correct network settings you may be able to get it working. I would suggest getting a wire and plugging it in.
