Bug with setting ranges for custom fixture profiles

Hi there!,

I'd like to report a bug that I've found, using version 2.5.2.9.0.8, Fixture Library 2.5.1.9.0.6

I'm making some new fixture profiles, and when I add ranges to a parameter it automatically fills in User Min and User Max. That's very nice and intelligent but offcourse, they're not correct. but I don't seem able to change them. For the Color Select I've got 10 ranges. I want Color 1 to have User Min 1 User Max 1, then for Color 2: User Min 2, User Max 2. you get the point. But Nomad fills in 1.5 - 2.5,  2.5 - 3.5.

I've tried Insert instead of New, but it doesn't seem to help. I've also tried starting with a higher number, above the ones that have been used.

Also the autofill sometimes messes up the DMX-values. And sometimes I can start typing right away, and sometimes I have to delete.

  • The "Select" parameters (Color Select, Gobo Select, Scroller, others) are hard coded to have single-step ranges. (It breaks on the half-way point each way so that you can have partial frames, which is useful in some contexts, but the encoder movements/'ticks' will land on the whole number each time).
You will want to select another similarly named parameter for the function you wish to have if you want to modify its behavior - this is limited only to a very few number of parameters that have additional behaviors built-in.
  • Ah, I see ! Makes sense, and in a way it does exactly what I wanted. So if I type Channel X Gobo Select At 1, it will go to the first gobo slot? Thanks for the help !
