ETC Element not playing back cues

I was programming cues last night and saved then turned off the board.  When I came back on this morning, most of my cues had duration times of 5 seconds and I can't play them back.

Thanks for the help

  • If the Element has a main pair of faders above the Go/Stop buttons, make sure those are at the top position. Cues will run in that position. at the bottom of the fader position, the cue is pending, waiting for a manual move (therefore time) of the faders.

There may be a default manual cue time set to 5, and that may be overriding whatever cue times you recorded.

Re-load your show file from last night, and see if the times are correct in the latest version. If not, re-load the previous version, and see if the times are still corrupt. If they are, I would bet it's the first issue above, and not a bad recording.

(I have an Ion, so somethings described may be different on the element.)

  • Checked the faders and they are currently up. I merged a old version of the show with this file and some of the cues fixed themselves. If I enter a intensity time on the cues that aren't working it will be grayed out.
  • I see grey times if there are NO changes between cue A and cue B. the cue will have time assigned, but since nothing is changing, the time is greyed out. If and intensity of NiP were to change, then the time changes to normal colouring, and the cue runs.

    Sorry I couldn't help.
