Eos RPU not seeing flash drives

Hi,

I'm seeming to have the same issue with my legacy ION currently on v2.5. At first, I thought it was the issue of having a Mac downloading and unzipping the installer was the core issue, but same results came back when I attempted it with Bootcamp Windows 10. 

Did this issue ever get solved or are any workarounds available?

You should make sure that your thumbdrive is formatted for FAT32.  Eos family devices including the Ion RPU need that format, not the Mac Journaled format that is common for Mac computers.

Otherwise, I recommend giving your local ETC Tech Support a call when you're near the RPU and the Mac.

More specifically, eis needs a windows formattted FAT32 drive and not a Mac formatted FAT32 drive. There should not be any difference, but apperently there is and if your thumb drive was ever formatted by a Nac it becomes unusable for your console. I would love to know why, because it is rather annoying. 

I have the same problem, USB drives formatted on macOS (Monterey) with FAT32 are not recognized by the console, I've tried with 2 different memory sticks. I've bought a fresh new stick which works with no problem on both systems.

sstaub  - I don't have a macOS computer running Monterey handy, but if you have a moment, could you see if the answer here:https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253216375 (using MBR instead of GUID) applies to your formatted USB drives and if it makes a difference?

So I was able to get this fixed! The exFAT was causing the issue. Swapped it over to just plain and simple FAT on my MBP's disk utility, rewrote exe's onto the drive and they popped right up.
