CP Alpha 300 Beam - Home closes shutter

Hello,

1. If I execute 'home' command for Pan, Tilt, C, M, ... parametrs the ION closes the shutter of the fixture. Why? How to change it? I need it for wednesday (24th September)? I thought there is wrong shutter home value stored, but if it happens with homing Pan...?

2. How to check then 'home' values that is stored in template for this device for its parameters?

3. Also sometimes if I press MAX in Magenta parameter it turns all Color parameters (including color wheel) to Max. Why all? Then if I pressed MIN, the shutter closed. Why? I am afraid to use this MIN, MAX ;-o

  • Hi Adam

As a temporary suggestion until the fixture library is confirmed by someone-

Have you experimented with the user definable HOME Preset. In SETUP {Show} you can set the HOME preset. (999 for example) In this preset you can store whatever data you want  for any of your fixtures. It will then reference this Preset when you press [Home].

A few points to note however- For any attribute (or whole fixutre) that you don't include in your HOME preset, the desk will then reference the library home information. (This is set within the library data and cannot be changed). You can change a fixtures HOME values when you create your own personality.

As for MIN/MAX until someone verifies the library info for an Alpha 300 i would just avoid using MIN/MAX.

Hope this is of some help.

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks, I will try user definable HOME Preset - smart feature ;-)

  • Adam, home for shutter parameters should be open.  Will look into this.  All manufacturers default these things differently.  We try to catch the home values and change the defaults so they are consistent.  Sometimes.... they slip by us.  So, you can adjust using user defined home, but please do continue to let us know when you find values that are not as desired.

    Thanks much!
