Gadget ii not working

I purchased a Gadget II as part of the Student Nomad package. I have yet to get any lights I've used to properly respond to it. I know I am doing everything right because I used my friends Student Nomad package as a demo and everything worked seamlessly (same lights, same computer, everything). My best guess is that there is some set-up process that I'm missing, but by all the research I've done, I should just need to plug it in. I'm using the v2.6 nomad software on a macintosh computer. The only thing I've found that could be of use is some PC installation software, but as far as I can tell, there is no Mac equivalent.

    Hi Logan,

     

    let's see if we can help solve this issue. Here are a few questions if you could answer me to help Troubleshooting:

    1.) What Version of Eos Software are you running?

    2.) What Version of Mac OS are you running?

    3.) Could you tell me if you see the Gadget is listed in your Mac Setup? Exit Eos Software to Shell,

    Setup, on the right, click on Local IO, and then see if on the left the Gadget is listed with the Serial Number

    that is printed on a Label on your Gadget like this:

                                                             

     

    4.Could you post a photo of what you see?

    5.) Are you sure the channels are patched? Could you attach your Show file?

    OK, so funny thing, I got it to work last night, went to bed, got up and now it doesn't work again. (I think me getting it to work was just an accident). I know my patch is working because it did yesterday...

    1) The most recent. I updated yesterday to troubleshoot. (So 2.6?)

    2) Mac OS 10.11.6

    Here's a photo, and the 1st External device listed matches my gadget's serial number.

    Maybe the USB Cable or USB Port on Laptopis defective? Try swapping USB Cables and ports on the laptop?
