Element with movers.

Hi All.

I'm trying to get some GLP Impression Spot 1's to work with the Element.

I can get them to do most things I want, but I can't figure out how to make a gobo rotate to a certain spot every time.

Does this console have any way to scroll through dmx channels like an encoder can?

For ex. scrolling pan/tilt etc...

Thanks.

  • you have found the ML Control display, right?

choose a gobo picture, then to the left you can choose the box Rot (+ or - for direction) and then use the encoder even further to the left to set the speed.

even on a console with faders we would do it like this (with faders, but split up to the different ranges). so you can choose a gobo and then decide if you want to index it or to rotate it. this can't be done if you have one encoder that goes through the whole DMX address. that would first bring you from gobo 1 to gobo 6 to be indexed and then to gobo 1 through gobo 6 to be rotated.

this way might seem to be a bit more complicated on first glance, but is less messy on stage
