Movers On Subs

Hi All

I have programmed some Robe LED beam 150 onto subs. The pan, tilt, zoom and colour.

The problem is you put the fader up and they move into position and when you pull the fader down they go to their "home" positions.

How do I stop them from moving whilst I am moving the fader.

I am using an ION with the latest software and fixture library and a 20x20 wing

Thanx

  • Edit: Mike A answered while I was typing.  His is a better solution but I'll leave mine anyway.

You need to use more subs and break up the parameters you are using onto different subs (as ueli suggests above).

For example, you could put intensity only for the movers on one sub (no other parameters recorded (not "0", just blank), and put pan and tilt (without intensity) on another sub.  If you need several different locations you use a different sub for each position onstage (no intensity), using only the pan and tilt info (unless you also want the other focus, or beam, or colour info at these separate positions).

You bring up a sub to move the movers, you bring up the intensity sub to have them come on.  As long as you don't lower the sub with the focus info (pan & tilt, etc.) recorded to it, the sub with intensity only will not cause the movers to move as you run the intensity level up and down.
