software version 2.7.2 is released and available for download

I always have such a hard time finding these. I went to ETC Connect, software update and the latest was from 2013. Aaarrrggg.

I went back to ETCConnect and did a search and found it however it hit me; is this now no longer good for XP consoles?

As is currently planned, even the next version (v2.8.0) will maintain XP compatibility.

I think it's very safe to say that we will definitely be providing all kinds of notice when the first "non-XP" release happens.

We ran into a couple of snafus posting 2.7.2 yesterday. It should be all sorted now. We will do three things - when we release the last version of Eos software that will be XP compatible, we will tell you that. Before we release the first version of software that is not XP compatible, we will advise everyone it is coming. When we actually release the first version of software that is not XP compatible, we will put that in large text in the announcement, the release note and send an email blast advising of same.

Hey, I just noticed that the version online is 2.7.2.17. Is this a departure of the n.n.n.9 as released versions and all others as beta?

yes. starting in 2.7.0 Eos versions only have 4 digits
