Query/PSD behavior => LiveMove

Hej Folks,

I was wondering about something I noticed in my Sequence on an EOS 2.6.4 these days.
I had a live-move on stage (no overlapping Qs) when running a Q but there was no L in my PSD and query-live-move said "Error: Channel List is Empty" but there was a live-move in the sequence and I got rid of it.
On another day I recognized an L in the PSD and tried the same with query and got one channel selected. Strange thing is that this guy is just marking in the Q before and coming up in the one with the L.
Did I get something wrong or is this a bug?

Thx
Paule

  • it could be that LD flags are disabled for this channel. Patch>Attributes>LD flags

regarding the second issue: automark or referenced marking?
  • automark
Edit: and I checked for Flags beeing disabled and found them all enabled
Stupid me didn´t do a copy of that state of programming and now those things are gone...

  • OK I just checked about those flags once more and can say that I still don´t get it.
I took pictures of the PSD and the tracklist at the desk which is on 2.6.4 and it looks like this:

I have a live-move in Q12 and in Q14 but there is no L shown...

Today I opened the showfile in Nomad 2.7.0 and get this:

Here I get at least one L in Q14 but shoudn´t there be one in Q12 as well?

Will try that once more with the recent release...

  • L = Livemove in Eos indicates a channel fading it's intensity from or to 0 % while moving a non-intensity parameter at the same time, not a channel moving while the intensity is already on. In your example, Channel 708 is already at Full in Cue 12 and therefor doesn't produce a "L" in the PSD. The term "Livemove" can be misleading in this context..

An example for having a L flag is a Channel fading out while changing it's colour in the same Cue. (And that's why Query Livemove is such a good tool for cleaning up, as is Query Darkmove.)

Regarding your Automark question, is it possible to see the PSD and Blind Speadsheet of the Channel in question ?

    Cheers,

    Matthias

  • Thanks a lot!
    I wasn´t aware that the live-move flag is related to a fade-in / fade-out.
So that means I was looking in the wrong place the whole time Open mouth
I will just go through the showfile again and look for a actual live move (as the flag signs it).
Will do the same with the marking guy though I´m not shure if that´s still as it was at that point of the production.

But it´s great to learn about the actual meaning of the flag!
    Stupid me...
