Chase

Just back from UK visit to Royal Theatre Brighton. Fascinating place. They use Eos Ion.

But my question; Looking up "Chase" I saw some 4 year old stuff and it looks like it can be painful? Our grotty KK1024 in the Pavilion makes chasing a doddle. So if I merely want to flash some lights in sequence on our Element 2, what would be the simplest (for dummies) way?

  • Simple way of doing it could be

    select effects tab

    key in

    1 enter

It will say Effect 1 Create Type

    Click on Absolute

It then builds a simple effect for you.

Click in the level column on the first row and press  Full and then Enter.

    Switch back to live

Select some channels and key Effect 1 enter.

A simple chase will then happen.

You can play with the  values in the TIme and Dwell columns on the effect on the two lines,  alter the rate, grouping etc.

You could put more steps in it, instead of simply setting and intensity you can use a preset or palette so you could control colour or position of moving heads

(PS: I suspect the jet lag got to you in your response to Ueli - he's the most helpful person on this forum)
