Mixing LEDS on Subs

Hi,

I want to be able to have 3 subs: Red, Green, Blue so that I can mix the colours from subs.

I've looked into this and I know that I need to selective record the subs or go into blind and @ enter the other values to remove them. So far I've tried both of these and it still doesn't work, I think it may have something to do with the pre-set of the fixtures.

I was wondering if its possible to do a similar thing in live for removing the values as it is in blind with @ enter.

If not how do I make a new home pre-set for the fixtures?

Thanks

  • in live you would need a source with higher background priority that sets the unused values to 0. e.g. cue, sub, intensity palette, preset (IP and Pres. can also live on a fader!)

to change the values of home: sotre them in a preset. in Setup>System you can define a home preset (if your in an older software version, this is in Setup>Show). set this to the number of the preset you just made. back to live. to have the new values take effect, you need to perform a Gotocue Out once.

  • If it helps any, I've found the easiest way to do old school colour mixing on EOS is to run your RGB subs as Inhibitives.

This requires a 4th sub (that does not need to be on Faders) with all values at Full.

(Keeping in mind you can control subs from the command line... [Sub] (30) [At] [Full] [Enter]  works.)

This way you don't get into any trouble with subs and NP data.
