auto mod

How do you change a group's intensity proportionally by 10% in the whole show?

I believe this is called Auto mod on the Strand desks.

Thankyou!

  • You have a couple of choices.  The first option is on a cue list basis.  If this is a permanent change, go into blind (I recommend spreadsheet for this activity).  Select your entire cue list (Cue 1 thru enter).  If you want to drop the level.... [channel n] [at] [[/] [9] [Enter].  If you want to raise the level ... [channel n] [at] [/] [110] [Enter].

If this is a temporary change, you can used scaled park.  Same syntax, just append the park instruction.

    Hope that helps.

  • Anne--

You provide an answer for a single channel, but davos lamos asked specifically about a group of proportional levels.  Does the syntax: [group n] [at] [[/] [9] [Enter] also hold true?

  • Absolutely.  Additionally,  if you have +% and -% set to the level that you want to adjust by, you can also use those keys, rather than / %.   This will yield slightly different results.  The "/" function is a true percentage of current value.  +% and -% are actually hard values (even though they are labeled %).  So, +10% sets the light "up a point", where /110 raises it 10%.

Just to add to the fun :-)
