Hello I have the nomad student package and I cant seem to figure out how to out put to the second universe I want it setup like this LEDs or intelligent fixtures on uni 2 and conventional on uni 1 how can I do this
you have to to make sure your fixtures are pached to universe 2 and also the gadget is outputting said universe
To patch address to U2 the syntax it 2/1 for address 1 in U2 and 2/400 would give yo a start address in U2 @400.
So I did that in patch and connect the LEDs to uni 2 and they aren't doing anything HELP ME!
Did you set up the gadget so it outputs two universes? What software version are you on? How many addresses are patched? Are you getting any error messages in or above the command line when you load the show file.
im private messageing you now i sent you a pic of my software version
Seems you are in software 2.8 which is good. Btw, easier and better access to software version is if you press about on a clear command line. In the cia you see every info.
Can you please post a picture of the about info?
i will be on a nomad in about five minutes and might be able to help you.
Check in said about screen:
a software version 2.8 minimum.
B how many addresses of how many addresses patched.
C try setup system output. You should see your gadget there. Check that output a is set to correct universe (output address 1-512) and port B to universe 2 (output Adresse 513-1024).
Does your gadget output anything on any universe at all? If not, it could be a firmware issue. If that’s the case, you may want to talk to the awesome etc tech support.
But my patch limit is 512 could that be the reason why even though I'm not using all 512 addresses
No. If you have patched less then 512 addresses you are fine.
You can spread those thru as many universes as you like.
If you want, email your show file to
jpvolk2006@yahoo.de and I take a look at it.
Aoart from that, did you check what I suggested above? Can you answer my questions I wrote above?
I'm checking rn
Go to the shell, network. Scroll down to Allowed Output Addresses and remove the two ranges there.
