Secondary Cuelist

So we have big show we are doing right now, I'm programming the lites and someone else is programing the media.  3 Eos, 3 Rvi, and a Client laptop every so often.  We are also running 2 partitions.  Multi cue lists

The problem I've noticed that every morning when I start up the desk, meaning Master 1st then backup, List 111 show up on my command line the other programmer being a client says when he turns his on my list 1 shows up on his command line.  Any thoughts??

  • When we shut down tonight I'll double check that I've removed the execute link from your cuelist.
  • So last night we shut down, still had a problem this morning.  1st Jason went to Q0.1 on list 111 then unlinked his list to mine and we saved the show.  I was also in Q0.1 on my list 1.  He shutdown his Eos (client) then I shutdown mine (back-up)  I looked b4 I shutdown his list was in 0.1 and my list was in 0.1.  Then I shutdown the master.  Came in this morning turned on master his list was on the command line Cue111/220, for some reason his list was in Cue 220, therefore as soon as I turned the desk on his list went to Q 220, therefore stuff turned on. (not good)  Anyway so I linked the lists and went to 0.1.  Of course I did have to reload my list 1 to the command line. Built a macro

    Anyone ???

  • Well there was some serious weirdness last night at the last moment of cueing too. My console showed you had a cue that didn't even exist in your cuelist and that you were sitting in that non exist cue which would have been cue 221. The last cue that I was working on last night was cue 220. The next thing that happened was you took us both to cue 0.1 (via a linked execute command).
  • We shall try again tonight, i'll be sure to tell you B4 I go to 0.1, maybe we can come up with something

  • No, luck again.  This this morning when I turned on the master guess who's list was on the command line.  Yours, list 111 also I noticed that your list was in Q100 for some reason.  You didn't put your list in Q100 last night did you?  The last I saw we were both sitting in 0.1 when I saved and shutdown.

This apparently, is a BUG, a very bad bug at that!  Guess we'll keep trying different stuff, The unlinking of the lists didn't seem to work

  • Hahah, okay, that's funny then. I thought that might happen. Here's what I did...

-You took both consoles to Cue 0.1 with the linked cuelist.
-I then did GoTo Cue 100.
-Then I did GoTo Cue 0.1
    -Unlinked cuelists.

So when I shut the console down I was in Cue 0.1.

  • Sounds like the desk is restarting 2 commands previous B4 shutdown.

Maybe Tues. we'll goto 0.1 twice or even three times B4 we shutdown.

But that still doesn't explain why your list shows up on my line, does it?

  • When ever I unlink the lists, I type in Cue 111/ Enter to get my list display back to mine. I wont do that next time. Betcha that'll fix it.
  • I don't think you will find a workaround to the wrong cuelist being posted to your command line. This is fixed in 1.5, but in 1.4, the logic for which cue it makes your selected cue on startup was incomplete and didn't account for multiple master playbacks. In 1.5, it will be the active cue from your master playback.
