Safari Users

Hi Anne,

I am a new Eos user from Teatro Real in Madrid. We used to have a console using the safari protocol from avab. Is there any old safari users than have changed to Eos out there? It would be good to know how they do and how they are adapting to Eos.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the document, I am sure the operators at Teatro Real will find it very helpful. We have been using an Avab Viking for the last 10 years, it had a lot of improvements from a Sweedish engineer  along this time. We were quite happy with the console but a problem with a motherboard and the prospects of having not much servicing in the future, made us change to a more modern console.

    In general we are happy with Eos (we have been using it now for few months), it is a more advance board that our previous Viking. But we miss some of the things we used to do with our Viking, for example: working on live and blind at the same time (we have two operators working together), "invert group" command (there is nothing quite the same in Eos), Topographic system, mouse being able to select and modify channel values, etc.
