Ion Win7 Display ports

Hi Andrew,

It should work just fine to connect the monitor with the DVI to VGA adaptor. The one thing to keep in mind is that the Dell P2418HT is a touch monitor and that means you also need open USB ports to make the touch capabilities work. If you don't have enough ports then you can just get a USB hub to get more USB ports.

yep.  thanks.  Can I link the USB through the monitors (so only 1 USB into the console)?

and Yes I know they are touch screen.  Love touch screens.  And the real estate on a 24"!  highly recommended.

I'm pretty sure this will NOT work. if i remember correctly Ion (win7) has 2 DVI-D ports. they output digital signal. but regular DVI-VGA adapter usually have a DVI-I or DVI-A which transports analog signal. i think you can't even plug your adapter into the Ion because the adapter has the four additional pins (that are used to transport the analog signal), but the DVI-D on the Ion doesn't have the four holes for it (and also doesn't produce the analog signal).

Windows 7 Ions have one DVI-I port and one DVI-D port. So the DVI-I to VGA adapter should be good to go!

Yes that should work. But you will probably need the DVI-I to VGA adapter that Jake was talking about

And also I have that touch screen too and it is really amazing. I would highly recommend it too!
