Solid red light on Gadget 2

I bought a gadget 2 yesterday and when I first plugged it into my laptop, it had a green light on it. As I was updating it on EOS, the update failed and it now won't get recognised at all by my PC. I've tried everything I could find to get it to work and it still won't do anything. The only other thing I can think of is reinstalling windows but I don't want to do that. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Maybe a manual installation of the driver can help. I have done it with mine because stucking in bootloader mode.

So it doesn't appear by default on device manager. I've tried installing legacy hardware but all it says is the device installed correctly but it couldn't start due to an error. When I try to update Highspeed Pipe drivers it says it already has the latest version installed. Furthermore, it doesn't appear as a bootloader in This PC so I can't install firmware that why. As far as I can tell, I have no way of making the PC talk to the Gadget to install the firmware.
