Solid red light on Gadget 2

I bought a gadget 2 yesterday and when I first plugged it into my laptop, it had a green light on it. As I was updating it on EOS, the update failed and it now won't get recognised at all by my PC. I've tried everything I could find to get it to work and it still won't do anything. The only other thing I can think of is reinstalling windows but I don't want to do that. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

  • So it doesn't appear by default on device manager. I've tried installing legacy hardware but all it says is the device installed correctly but it couldn't start due to an error. When I try to update Highspeed Pipe drivers it says it already has the latest version installed. Furthermore, it doesn't appear as a bootloader in This PC so I can't install firmware that why. As far as I can tell, I have no way of making the PC talk to the Gadget to install the firmware.
