Patching multi channel light to separated addresses

Is there a way to patch a multi-channel light to DMX addresses which are separated? For example, I have an LED light, in a mode which requires 10 addresses. My universe is used up with other patches, but I have over 10 addresses that are free. Unfortunately, these available addresses are not next to each other, but peppered throughout the universe. (i.e. available addresses: 12, 18, 30, 41-46, 271, 423, 424,. Utilizing these to patch one 10 address required light.)

Is it possible to utilize these free addresses which are separated by other patched lights and make my LED light function?

  • Thanks Ueliriegg and Mathilda for your replies and information. The point I was trying to make was a matter of space and equipment. I may not have the ability to expand beyond the universes which I'm using due to equipment limitations and/or limitations in the wireless transmitters I have for universes. It was my hope to be able to utilize small empty channels in the universe to patch lights with larger footprints that are added latter on.
