Bug: 16Bit GoboRotation scrolls halfway through DMX0

Hello,

I do have a 16bit Gobo Rotation set up myself with a Rotation from -180°<0°<180° and a second option for const. spinning.
After programming it in a Cue i stumbled over something strange.

I start with no Spin @ dmx 32768
Than i scroll with my encoder, holding down [shift].

Meanwhile the DMX value drops down to 0.
After the user-Value reaches a value of 1or higher the DMX value settles back at the right value of something like 32769.

In the real world the gobo spins abrupt for a short amount of time.
My Work around for the moment it to make the spin in a time of 0.
But be able to fade it, would make me happy.

For a better understanding here is a short video

Tested with v3.1.0 and v3.1.1

i made the video smaller in file-size

  • Dear Matt,

the Fixture is created by myself.

While having a look into the showfile, can you please have a look at the ShutterStrobe as well.

Every time i send it home, it will not go to its assigned Homevalue of 127, but rather to 126. I can't figure out why.
A [Go to Cue] [Out] will fix that. But that could not be the plan for the Future.

Please find the Fixture in the attached Showfile.
    Thank you in advance
    yours
    thilda

  • Hello Matt,

i managed to resolve the issue with the 16-Bit Value.
The User Value should be from 0.001-100.

In my previous version the User Value was from 1-100.

    ----

And the Shutter Strob had been resolved as well.
I made the Homevalue DMX 128.
This happend to be the actuall Fixture Home value. There was a glitch in the Manual.

Both issues are resolved. But i still don't get the behaviour of EOS.
