ETC Element 2 I/O Board component in Bootloader mode

Hi,

I just recently updated our Element 2 Console to V3.1.3.8

It then requested a firmware update for the I/O board, after the firmware update I get this:

I assume to fix this issue I'll need to drop in a firmware file for the I/O Board component in F:\ drive... which firmware file do I copy over to F:\ for the Element 2 I/O Board component, and then restart the console?

This is what I gathered after comparing the logs between pre upgrade and post upgrade - and reason I've concluded that it's an I/O board issue and unable to communicate with our fixtures via DMX.

  • The process of going into Windows to select the correct firmware is only required on very specific versions of hardware and is not a required step for all devices. When a component is in bootloader it is not recommended to go through this process without the guidance or ETC Technical Support. If you find a component in bootloader please contact ETC Technical Support so that the proper path can be determined. There should be no need at any time to go into the Windows layer of your console without tech support guidance. If this is a frequent problem of your device please let Technical Services know as that may change the steps taken to resolve this issue.
