Computer not connecting as a Client

I've followed the instruction on the manual of how to connect my Mac to a Ion xe20. They are on the same ip subnet and I can ping both ways each device but when I use client mode, my mac can't find the master console. This is now the 2nd time this has happened to me. Interestingly enough, if I look into setting and just open the augmented 3d tab, I can see the console as a yellow connection. Any thoughts or solutions to this problem?

  • just checking: you're not saying that you're using the exact same IP address for the console and for the mac, right?

also: you're using the same software version for the console and mac, as well as same fixture library version and the same language setting inside of Eos?

and last but not least: MultiConsole is enabled for the console and the mac and it's active on the correct network card? shell>settings>network
