Trackball sensitivity

We got a Logitech Trackman Marble for our Eos and I love it, but it is very sensitve and it is way too easy to overshoot when using it to position fixtures. You need an extrememly light touch to use it effectively.

Can we get a mouse/trackball sensitivity control for this situation similar to the encoder settings? It may be that other brands/models of trackball don't have the issue, but it would be very helpful to be able to set the sensitivity from the settings menu.

I have also noticed that when when using the trackball, if you do anything else, i.e. change a parameter etc. the board turns off the trackball so that you have to hit the trackball on/off button again. Can it not do this? Or at least have a choice to have it stay on all the time until the operator turns it off? I am sure some people like it the way it is, but it's very annoying to us. :)

  • I second the request for adjustable trackball sensitivity!  I would love to be able to use my marble mouse for running "followspots" like I did with my old LightJockey setup.  LJ had a "resolution" control for their pan/tilt control that allowed adjustment.

Also agree about the loss of control of the trackball when using other encoders.  Perhaps as setting where the trackball control of Pan/Tilt could be the default rather than the encoders?
