think i fouund my answer: it got replaced by simply thru. Seems quite more evident to me.
What did you try? As far as I know nothing has changed regarding thru thru
in previous versions, cue 1 thru (or preset 1thru) was creating cues in all the empty numbers (ex: i have 1 cue1 and 1 cue 10. before, syntax 1 thru enter was creating cues 2 3 4 5 till 10. to just select all the existing cues (or presets or else), syntaw was 1 thru thru enter to select all existing cues. Seems now that thru thru , anywhere, says "error: syntax error", and 1 thru enter just selects all the existing cues without crating new ones.
that's not correct. in the past (and still) thru selected all the cues (and presets and palettes and groups) that you already had, thru thru created all the missing ones in between.
Thanks, you are absolutely right, my memory plays with me, i tried installing older version, same syntax you remembered me.. my mistake.
But then, it doesn't explain the "syntax error" using thru thru. Did it get off in the new version?
What exact syntax did you try? And I'm what context/tab were you?
i tried a bit everywhere, in blind, in live, with cues, presets and groups. my exact syntax was
Q1 thru thru enter
i tried Q Home Thru Thru enter
i tried same syntax with presets, didn't work neither.

This was changed slightly in v3.1.5 because of this issue: [EOS-53798] 20+sec GUI Hang with [Group Thru Thru] syntax that creates 100,000 groups
1) thru thru syntax will error instead of inserting the last target
Ex: [group 1 thru thru enter] will error
2) decimal targets will not be created using thru thru unless both the start and end target have the same number of decimal places. Note that 2.10 is still only 1 decimal place, the zero is ignored.
ex: [group 1.01 through group 2.1] will create groups with one decimal, not two, because the end group is only 1 decimal place.
3) the target lists in the browser will have at most 10,000 target listed.
4) when using thru thru and decimals, decimal targets will not be created if it would have created more than 10,000 targets
Thanks for your answer
