bring a preset with a time

Not realy helping with the Syntax, but how about using a Manual Time Fader?

that's something i use during rehersals, just to be discrete while working. It has to be absolutely flexible, like a home or a snap function, not fixed.

isn't a Time Fader not the maximum in flexibility?
Or do i missread your answer?

you haven't misread, i'm just not used to use faders this way. Not sure it would replace pst sneak time, but always good to learn something. Could you explain? i design a fader to be a time fader, and ,every time i load inside the pst i want to bring softly?

as i don't know the process, seems quite more fastidious than say ch X pst X sneak time 10

You can set up this fader one time and keep using it. If the fader is at the bottom all the commands that result in red stuff will happen fast, if you have the fader at the top, it will happen slow.

So set it up, go to Fader Config (tab 36), choose an empty fader and choose the type Man Fader.

But even with the manual time fader, I still would like to know why it the regular syntax doesn't work...

What parameters do you have in your preset? Do you trigger the preset from direct selects or do you type in the command line?

but one thing i don't get: this fader is dedicated to a pst? chs? nothing, just an empty man fader you fullfill when needed?

important i haven't said: tried it today, worked normally.

One hardkey(shutter) loosing it's primary function for a moment, one basic function (type "pst sneak time x- not working for a few days at least (since i get the device, can't say before), stars to make a lot for a device.

The fader has no content, its only purpose is to make things slower or faster. It doesn't affect cues, it's only for commands that result in manual values (red stuff).

You can filter it to only affect certain channels or parameters, but by default it's for everything.

It wouldn't be very efficient to create it each time you need it. Just have it somewhere in a fader, already configured, and when you're in a situation where you need it, then you move it up.
