Direct Selects on Onboard Touchscreens Repeating Touches

We are also  getting repeat taps on our Ti 

I was planning on calling tech support at a convenient time

It's not common enough to call whilst busy in shows but annoying enough to want to sort it 

Hello Jackmill Philip Marjoram  this is an issue that a few users have reported to us, but we haven't been able to figure out what's causing it yet (Eos 3.1 Touchscreen Issues - Eos Family - Eos Family Consoles - ETC - Community).  Would you be willing to take the steps I outlined in reply to that earlier post?

It would be extremely helpful for anyone experiencing this type of issue to make a note when this happens on the console by pressing [Displays+Record] after every instance, then sending us a copy of your Eos logs and showfile to eos@etcconnect.com (and reference this forum thread).  

We also want to know: 

- Which screen was touched

- Which portion of the screen

- What Snapshot was in use at the time (preferably, create a new snapshot that includes the frame(s) you were tapping).

ETC Tech Service will probably then reach out about additional troubleshooting we can have you try.

Hello, we have had the Eos Ti for over 2 years and we have had touch screen problems from the start. These problems appear randomly but you must restart the console to correct the problem.
We have this problem on 2 consoles.
I made a few videos.
Using a stylus does not trigger the problem. But once triggered with finger you have to restart the console...

There have been reports of this before, but because it was very difficult to reproduce in the lab there were only some general changes.

What software version are you using?

3.2.3 build 19. For us it's easy to reproduce..... Every days or 2-3 days... Me i think to electrostatic when we touch the screen...

Not sure if this has been Fixed. But I am having a delayed second touch on my EOS TI running version 3.2.5 Build 13. I will hit a direct select on the left screen and it will about a 1 second later hit it again and deselect it. Using the touch keyboard on the right screen will select the key multilple times. This slows down programming quite a bit.

I merged your question into this thread. If you can it would be tremendously helpful for us to get more info about this.
