Chauvet Cloud 9 triggering without command

Check with an DMX Tester if any DMX is send or if the Fixture just randomly "puffing out" on its own.
Some Smoke Machines do so.

Yes, I've had them puff before, but this is a full out continuous discharge. 

In the Manual there is something written about a Timer.

I have not fully understand what it dose.
But take your time to figure out if there is any setting in the Fixture that will let it run on ots own.

And also check with an DMX tester if there is any DMX send randomly.

I really appreciate your help. I have done that as well. Once you connect DMX, you do not have access to the menu functions anymore. So, I have disconnected DMX and adjusted the fixture settings to see if that was the issue. It apparently was not.  I will run a DMX tester when I am back at my facility. Thank you!

I was having this issue also on my current show. The cloud 9 profile as built uses -1 as the off value for fog, so I had to alter the off state to truly be zero, and the fog state to start at 1 instead. (This also inhib subs from accidentally firing the fogger).

Are you using the fixture profile from the library or did you build one yourself?

I built off of the profile from the fixture library (version 3.2.7.18) and made edits, and this altered profile has been working properly since then.

I am using the profile from the library.

It's been awhile since I did an edit, but I can give it a try. I am running 3.8 right now, latest build.

I went into Patch->Fixtures->Cloud 9->Fog->DMX home from 0 to 1, and that did not work. Am I missing something? I didn't see where to set the off state. It's strange because it worked fine yesterday and this morning, but when running a cue check at preshow it came up in the cue and then would not go out unless turned off or DMX was disconnected. I tried repatching to  a different channel and had no control at all. It wouldn't even fire. I am wondering if the issue is at the fixture and not the console.
