Have you ever seen the programer not working in the etc gio? Everything else does but the programmer part keys and encoders

The surface of the desk is internally divided into two parts connected to two internal USB connections. It seems that one part is not working. So it is either a disconnected USB cable (they are glued, but sometimes when the desk is thrown in and out of a truck once too often, this can happen) or a driver issue. Maybe you can try to restore the firmware in the shell. Otherwise, you should contact ETC tech. support.

Didn't know they were divided. Will try restoring firmware, nothing else has seemed to helo. 

We do not move the board at all (relatively speaking). It is on a fixed venue. But we are on a cruiseship, so rough weather may ammount to the same as it being thrown in and out of a truck

I would guess slight internal corrosion from a salt environment would also be a factor.  Perhaps open it up and reseat the obvious connectors and see if that helps?
