using offset in blind subs

just had a situation in patch, when the offset key would have been handy, however it doesn't work? it's there, but to no effect. for example when i want to label my sidelights which are on consecutive channels but the odd ones have cold gels and the even ones have warm gels. or boom that have scrollers on every other intrument...

am i being stupid? or unreasonable and nobody else think that'd be handy?

Offset in patch doesn't support even/odd.  But if you start your channel selection with the warm gels (for example) and offset 2, you will get every other one in the list.  If you start your channel list with the cool gels, and offset 2, same result.
