clearing the command line?

i was wondering, if there was a way to clear the command line. say i have been typing and then discover a typo, or worse, the LD wants me to do something else first. whats the way to avoid pressing the Clear key endless times?

ok, when in Live, i hit Live again, but when in patch? hitting Blind doesn't help and Display - Patch is too far away from where my fingers are now. could maybe hilding down the clear key for more than half a second clear the whole line instead of backspacing?

just asking...

  • hey derek.

a puzzle indeed. i'm aware of the clear key autorepeating. that's why i suggested that maybe after the third repetition one could state, that the user wants the whole command line to be cleared.

if that's not possible, the only other thing i can think of is a key combination. it would have to be a one handed one, possibly close to the clear key. something like "Clear & 0" ? i know, within the regular syntax logics, rather quick and dirty, but to be honest, that's why i like it... ;-)
