Copy To in patch clears dmx address

when in patch and i change something in a -say- scroller configuration and want to copy that to other already patched scrollers, the dmx-address is lost.

so if i decided to do the query-info a bit later and want to copy what i had entered in scroller 1 of the left side in the house to the 5 next scrollers beside it, can i do that using copy to without having to re-address the copy targets after that? or would the best (and obvious) way be to select all of them from the very beginning and do the edit on all of them simultaneously?

cheers from switzerland

  • Felix.... I've read through this several times and I'm not quite sure what you mean.  If you copy a channel to another channel, any DMX addresses on the second channel will be lost.  This is because we don't want to automatically adjust the DMX footprint of the second channel, in the event it would inadvertently unpatch other channels.  So, we put this under your control.

I'm not sure what other things you could be trying to copy.  You can range select to set things like the assigned scroller, text fields, etc, but you can't copy them.
