Cannot edit magic sheet

I have found the answer - the magic sheet is actually two - a rig plan occupying most of the screen

and a set of buttons on the right hand edge. I had the wrong edit strip open - you can drag items from the wrong one, but then not edit them

I need help. I can add a fixture. Edit the channel. That’s it. 

I can add buttons but not edit or delete or add commands lines. 

im on an older version because our Mac is old.

To edit properties if an object you have to select the object while in Edit mode. The lower half of your toolbar has the properties if the selected object. 

To delete select an object while in Edit mode and press Delete. On a Mac it can be that you have to use Fn & Delete, this depends on the keyboard layout you're using.

Yes, I know how to add a channel to a fixture - But trying to work on a button and I can't edit the command line. Or for some reason I can't record a preset with intensity attached. Cant set up a macro with command line. 

I am on 3.2.6 version 

I just want to have a button that will set up the whole scene...and i am going crazy trying to figure out the best way to do this.
