Ion Classic (XP Embedded) no DMX

In the Eos Software ABOUT Screen - does it see any addresses? DOes it say Ion 1024 or?

It does have an "Allowed addresses" count, though it doesn't seen to say Ion 1024 or similar anywhere. I'm also attaching a screenshot of the connected devices list in setup to save posting two replies!

So Facepanel Is found. But in the About Screen it says OFFLINE. 

Two possibilities - Either  you are starting console as OFFLINE and not Primary


Could you make sure you are starting as PRIMARY? 

If you are not given the option to start as Primary like here: 

Then console is not seeing the dongle. Since you have unplugged it and 
tried on another laptop, its possible that you are not sticking it correctly In your console
on the facepanel. Since we see the facepanel, then the connection to facepanel is 
working. You should be sticking the dongle back into the facepanel. Can you 
send a photo of how it is mounted into the facepanel?

Reconnected the dongle to the usb port on the face panel and it still didn't output DMX, however when I *swapped* the two usb connectors going into JUSB2 on the motherboard and rebooted, it started outputting DMX, and now shows as 1024 in the About tab! Seemingly EOS is very picky about which USB port the dongle is connected to! Also unusually, even with no dongle present, the Ion shows both Primary and Backup as available options.
