Ion Classic (XP Embedded) no DMX

Recently, I cloned the HDD from my old Ion Classic to an SSD (with hopes of speeding it up a little). However since doing this, the console has ceased to output any DMX signal, even when swapping the original, unmodified hard drive back in. The console appears to be running normally and the I/O board even shows up in the setup menu. My first thought was that perhaps the I/O board inside the Ion had died, however even when swapping in an original Gadget (not the Gadget II) and mapping it to output Universe 1, it also does not output any DMX signal (I tested the Gadget on a Windows computer, along with the dongle from the Ion, and confirmed both functioned normally).

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Reconnected the dongle to the usb port on the face panel and it still didn't output DMX, however when I *swapped* the two usb connectors going into JUSB2 on the motherboard and rebooted, it started outputting DMX, and now shows as 1024 in the About tab! Seemingly EOS is very picky about which USB port the dongle is connected to! Also unusually, even with no dongle present, the Ion shows both Primary and Backup as available options.
