RGBW Pixel COB LED tape

Hi,

I'm planning to have a few RGBW Pixel COB LED tape on stage. I don't have to pixel map them and I wonder how should I patch them into a multi cell fixture and I can control the colour for each pixels? Is there a built in fixture I can go for or I will need to customise it?

I haven't worked with Pixel tapes before so maybe this is a stupid question? If this is not going to work, do I have to use the pixel map function for this purpose?

Thank you all so much!

  • i once saw an approce where only one multicell fixture was used and only the active pixels where patched.
So you end up with some of your fixture have a lot of unpatched pixels.

I would rather go with a pixelcount that is on point with each pixel.

but you can also have 3 different fixtures (of length) and make a mixup.

    possible:
short lenght (10 pixel): from 2 to 10 pixel
mid lenght (20 pixel): from 11 to 20 Pixel
long lenght (30 pixel): from 21 to 30 Pixel

You can also think of an other way to cluster your tape.
Maybe it is wraped around something and you can say "this is Prop No1".
