Partitions are not honored while using the FLASH softkey or the Shift Shortcut Keys. Is this expected behavior?

While utilizing a User with a limited Partition of channels, I can still FLASH channels outside of the partition.

Is this expected behavior?  The idea is to be prepping on one stage without affecting the other.

One of our Users accidentally recorded channels outside of their partition into a Group and then FLASH-ed the GROUP; this caused the channels on the working/active Stage to be flashed as well--even though the channels are outside of the User's Partition.

Grabbing the same group and using standard levels like "@ 40" honors the Partition and has no effect on the channels outside the Partition.

Thanks for you help,

Matthew

Flash on a single selected channel, Does Not Respect Partition State

  • Thanks for the info!  However, the write up should change to include "any selected channel(s)".  See attached video:

  • I can't reproduce this. Please send your showfile to eos(dot)moderator(at)etcconnect(dot)com.

  • I could reproduce the single channel flash outside a partition too.
But the multiple…You did select those channels via a group, right?
Because getting multiple channels (via a [through] or [+] outside the partition respects the partition.
And you cannot record a group with excluded channels from partition.
But I could reproduce your shown behavior with groups which were recorded prior to the set user partition.
