EOS Doubts

Dear Mr Corey,

Many thanks for your valuable information’s.

My EOS doubts are describing below.

Question 1:- Kindly describe, How to delete the 0% (Zero) Intensity channels permanently from a Cue? Our all Cues I can see the 0% (zero) Intensity channels. I don’t want that 0% Intensity channels in the Cue. What kind of commands to put to avoid the 0% channels avoid from the cue?

Question 2:- Installing the 1.9.1 software after this change affected our eos console. Our EOS the previous software version, (1.4) the Active channels window can select manually the channels 1 through 200 (Dimmers or Intensity parameters) and its can change the Intensities through the fader wheel also. Now the Active channel window can see the active cue channels and can’t select the channels 1 through 200. I try to select the channels 1 through 200 and move the fader wheel. But some channels not working and not shown the window also.

I press the Flexi and change the page to Selected Channels, patched channels (Can see the Cue Intensity in Blue Color), Manual Channels window can select the channels 1 through 200 and working the Intensity through the fader wheel. Show Channels Window also can't select the dimmer channels manually. Why I can’t select all channels manually from the Active channels window same as before?

Active channel window is running a cue and can see some channel intensities are Zero and not using. That zero Intensity channels and Cue recorded channels only selecting manually.  Other channels not including the Cue can’t select manually and not change the Intensity through the Fader wheel. Kindly inform me the solutions and commands.

I am expecting your valuable help.

    Hello Ajaya,

A quick response that will hopefully get you started.

For removing the 0% intensities. I assume that you have redundant 0's (show as white) that are preventing proper tracking. Meaning in your cue list, under the Flags column (B) do you have lots and lots of "b"'s next to the cues with the extra 0's?

There are several ways to accomplish this and I'm sure someone will reply after me with a better way, but the way I am most comfortable with is [at] [enter].  At Enter is remove value. In Blind,  [7] [at] [enter] would remove the  value from channel 7 in the current cue.  For example in cue 1, channel 7 is at 80% and in cue 2 it was at 90%.  When in blind looking at cue 2. Channel 7 would now show a blue 90. Blue meaning going up in intensity (blue is the color of the sky and the sky is up. Green = ground = going down. ) If in blind cue 2 you were now to type [7] [at] [enter] it would change from the blue 90% to a purple (tracking) 80%. Cue 2 now contains no move data for channel 7. You can do this across a range of channels using [Thru]. You can also enter spreadsheet and use [thru[ for a series of channels through a range of cues.

As for your second question regarding active channel. I think what you are looking through is [Thru] [Thru]. I don't remember when that was implemented or if it has been all along, but just in case.

When in Active Channel, when you use [Thru] just once, it will only select Active channels in the series that you have selected. If you press [Thru] twice, you will be able to select all channes in the range that you selected.

Again an example. So Your active channel shows Channels 1,2,5,6,7,12,14,201,202,203. If you type [1] [Thru] [203], you will only grab control of the 10 active channels displayed on your screen. If you type  [1] [Thru] [Thru] [203], you will grab control of all 203 channels and they all will show up on your screen.

Does that help you at all? I hope I understood your question correctly. If not, please don't hesitate to ask again.

    Thank you,

  • Dear Mr Travis,

Hope you are fine. Many thanks for your information’s.

I am repeating the question again and kindly describe, How to delete the 0% (Zero) Intensity channels permanently from a Cue? Our Cues are recorded in CUE ONLY MODE.

Example, I play a Cue and the recorded channels Intensity shown the Active channels window (Including Intensity Parameters and Non Intensity Parameters). Now I need to OFF some channels and I put the commands [Ch] [#] [OUT] [ENTER]. Or using the Fader Wheel to make the Intensity will be Zero. Then I need to save that modification to that Cue. I put the commands [RECORD] or [RECORD ONLY] then [CUE] [#] [ENTER]. After that I can see the OFF channel is shown ZERO in LIVE & BLIND.

Presently I can see lot of not using 0% Intensity channels on the Cue Play back Window. (Blue color 0).  Why the 0% Intensity channels shown a running Cue?

I like to delete that Recorded or saved 0% Intensity channels permanently from the Cue. What kind of commands?

First we select all of the 0% Intensity channels for delete function (Commands?)

After deleted that channels then record that Cue in other empty Cue number or the same Cue (Commands?)

Kindly inform me the Commands in step by step. I am expecting your valuable help.

Thank you very much from Ajaya Dubai
