ion dimming curves

Where in the manual (1.7) is the definition of the different dimming curves?  I want to apply a "on at 1%" curve to several dimmers.

  • It's been a while since I played with v1.7.  In the manual, curves are documented in Chapter 23 on (p. 271-275) under the heading Storing and Using Curves.

Specifics are not in the manual since Curves are meant to be extensible by a user. To see the curves available (v1.9 and maybe 1.7 but I don't have that version installed)

    • Press the [Displays] key.
    • Select Record Target Lists in the CIA Browser.
    • Select Curves to see the list of available dimmer profiles.
    • Click on a particular curve to see the details.

They can be applied to a Patch or a Cue. You probably want to apply it to your patch:

    [Displays] {Patch} {Attributes} [1] {Curve} [9] [0] [5] [Enter] - applies curve 905 (Full at 1%) to channel 1 intensity.
